\'Inside Out\' Exhibition. Victoria and Albert Museum. London

Meadowcroft Griffin were invited to exhibit Portobello Road residence as part of the V&A exhibition on the relationship of domestic interiors to landscape. In many ways the Portobello Road project sat as a counterpoint to the other landscape oriented projects by virtue of its urban situation. Within a context where open landscape is absent, Portobello Road succeeds in invoking a sense of landscape metaphorically through its materiality and through controlled views to sky, the market and distant urban features.
