July 10 Lauriston School coloured creative block is signed by artist collaborator Liam Gillick.
Artist Liam Gillick, Turner Prize nominee collaborated on the design of the coloured cladding which envelopes the school's creative block. The multi coloured panels were conceived as a large scale public artwork which recalls the coloured tiles and brickwork of the original Victorian school and an expression of the creative wing and creative status of the new school. A ceremony was arranged for Liam to meet the staff and children and to sign his artwork.
