Feb 08 London Thames Gateway Development Corporation appoint Meadowcroft Griffin as lead designers for The Poplar Riverside Delivery and Implementation Strategy.
Following our success at competitive interview MGA have been appointed by London Thames Gateway Development Corporation as lead designers for the Delivery and Implementation Strategy for Poplar Riverside, a strategically important area within the Lower Lea Valley within the context of the 2012 Olympics and the Lea River Park.
As team leaders, we will be working with a strong team of sub-consultants including landscape (Latz und Partner), transport (Steer Davis Gleave), property (Savills), cost (Davis Langdon), environment (Buro Happold), socio-economics (Hunt Dobson Stringer) and planning (RPS). The strategy focuses on the redevelopment of core area river edge industrial sites within a wider context extending from Canning Town in the east to Chrisp Street market in the west. The study will propose social and physical infrastructure projects, development proposals, funding mechanisms and design guidelines to promote successful long term regeneration of the area.
